Lazy Stuffs Inc. ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and protect it, and the choices you have. We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Nova Scotia law.

1. Who is responsible for your information

2. What we collect

We do not collect or store your full payment card number. Card payments are processed directly by Stripe; we receive only a confirmation and a transaction reference.

3. How we use your information

To provide, schedule and complete the cleaning services you request
To quote, invoice and take payment, and to pursue overdue accounts
To send transactional messages: booking acknowledgements, confirmations, payment links, receipts
To respond to enquiries and support requests
To maintain business, accounting and tax records as required by law
To improve our services and website, and to protect against fraud and misuse
Where you have consented, to send occasional marketing or promotional messages

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

4. Consent

By submitting a booking request you consent to our collection and use of your information for the purposes above. You may withdraw consent at any time, subject to legal or contractual restrictions and reasonable notice — but note that withdrawing consent for information we need in order to attend and service your property will mean we can no longer provide the service. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting us, without affecting your service.

5. Service providers we use

We use trusted third parties to operate our business. Each receives only the information needed for its function and is bound to protect it.

6. Storage outside Canada

Important: some of our service providers store or process data on servers located outside Canada, including in the United States and the European Union. While your information is in another country it may be accessible to the courts, law enforcement and national security authorities of that country under its laws. By using our services you acknowledge this transfer. We select providers that offer contractual and technical protections comparable to those required under Canadian law.

7. How long we keep it

Booking and financial records: seven (7) years from the end of the relevant tax year, as required by the Canada Revenue Agency.
Client contact and address records: for as long as you remain a client and for a reasonable period afterwards, so we can serve you again and handle any dispute.
Service photographs: normally deleted within 12 months unless retained in connection with a claim or dispute.
Chat transcripts and enquiries: normally up to 24 months.
Access keys and codes: destroyed or returned promptly when our engagement ends.

8. How we protect your information

Encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) across our website, portal and service integrations
Role-based access: staff access only the information needed to do their job
Row-level security and authenticated access controls on our database
Card data handled exclusively by a PCI-DSS compliant processor (Stripe)
Regular encrypted backups of business records

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach occurs that creates a real risk of significant harm to you, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada as required by law.

9. Your rights

You may, at any time:

Access the personal information we hold about you
Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete
Withdraw consent to certain uses, subject to section 4
Request deletion of information we are not legally required to retain
Complain about how we have handled your information

Contact operations@lazystuffs.com. We will respond within thirty (30) days. We may need to verify your identity first. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca or 1-800-282-1376.

10. Children

Our services are directed to adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of majority in Nova Scotia. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Changes take effect when posted on this page with a revised date. Material changes affecting how we use your information will be communicated to active clients by email.
